WHAT DO WE MEAN BY “DISCOUNTS”?

We recognize the importance of broadband, and we pride ourselves on the quality of the connection we’re able to offer providers. Our mission is to ensure that all of North Carolina’s healthcare providers—from big urban hospital systems to small-town rural health clinics—have equitable access to broadband. Equitable access begins with affordability. To offset the costs that can be associated with this caliber of broadband, we utilize the funding available from the FCC’s Health Care Connect Fund (HCF) to discount broadband services up to 65% for eligible providers.

WHAT ROLE DOES NCTNA PLAY IN MY ORGANIZATION’S BROADBAND DISCOUNTS?

01

WE WORK TO ASSESS YOUR ORGANIZATION’S ELIGIBILITY

The federally funded broadband discounts are available for non-profit and public healthcare providers. Obtaining these discounts and navigating the Healthcare Connect fund can be cumbersome and, admittedly, confusing. We’ll determine the preliminary discount eligibility for each of your sites and own the process for confirming site eligibility through the Healthcare Connect Fund That’s one less thing for you to worry about when it comes to your broadband, and that’s only the beginning.

02

WE ARE THE EXPERTS ON BROADBAND DISCOUNTS

As one of the first organizations to join the HCF in 2013, we have plentiful experience and can serve as experts on the HCF for providers. We’re constantly monitoring changes to the program and the application process. As a consortium, we’re able to leverage this expertise and the power of our network of NCTNA subscribers to secure the most funding possible, which means more discounts for our providers.

03

WE KEEP YOU IN THE KNOW WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

When there are changes to the funding, reporting, or application process for HCF discounts, we actively communicate with our members. We know that your main priority is providing life-saving patient care, so we dedicate time to making messaging efficient, accessible, and easy to understand. We have also made resources available here on our BLOG  if you’re interested in learning more about the Health Care Connect Fund. Our staff are also happy to answer any questions you have pertaining to discounts for your organization, visit our CONTACT page here to reach out.
